MADRID, SPAIN is the capital of spain, and is filled with rich history, incredible architecture, museums, tapas, shopping, beautifully manicured parks and so much more…

Possibilities are endless as you start searching through AirBnb options and hotels. Our recommendation is to stay at Iberostar Las Letras Gan Via. Hotel Iberostar is located in the heart of the city, has a *beautiful rooftop pool and terrace, very helpful staff and is close to a number of great restaurants, cafes, shops and more.

EAT&DRINK
COFFEE + BREAKFAST BITES
Faraday. Small cafe in walking distance to Hotel Iberostar. Go for an afternoon coffee.
Plántate Café is a small cafe filled with plants, exposed brick, great coffee, build your own avocado toast and more.. so. basically our dream morning stop.

Federal Cafe. Australian cafe. There are a couple locations. Go for lunch.
Honest Greens. Multiple locations. Vegan/Vegetarian options. Go for lunch.
TAPAS + DINNER
Sala de Despiece. Located in Chamberí. Tapas, Bar, Tabernas. Go for dinner. “Our bar counter pays tribute to the traditional tapa way of serving food in Chamberí neighborhood. It is an extension of our open kitchen, where the menu’s ingredients are barely transformed to keep up with the spirit of this philosophy. “Products first and last” is the key principle of the restaurant’s co–owner and creator of the concept, Javier Bonet, who is obsessed with product quality, the creation of the ideal atmosphere to serve it, and the human value of team work.”

Tinto y Tapas. Go for tinto y tapas. Order the caprese empanada, margherita pizza, olives, and/or bread y cheese (not sure if you can go wrong with anything on their menu tbh). We’re not normally one to visit a place twice during a visit, but Tinto y Tapas had us craving more. This is a gem of a find, and pretty small space, however, (as we found out the second visit) they have another location for overflow right around the corner… and we still can’t decide which spot has the better vibe (they share the same kitchen).
* 10/10 would recommend.
Bodega de la Ardosa located in Malasana. Wine & Beer Bar, Tapas & Small Plates. Go for a classic Madrid experience. Expect this place to be packed w/ locals. NOTE: Cash only

WEAR // WHAT TO PACK??
Madrid is a stylish, yet walkable city. Make sure you pack light (or baggage fees will stack up quickly if you plan to do additional traveling throughout europe), pack comfortably (you’ll most likely walk *many miles per day), but be sure to throw in some (comfortable) heels and a fun dress/skirt for evenings out and about.
PS // The best Times to Visit Madrid is in the fall (September to November) or spring (March to May).
Gracias, Bye.
