Like a (Sayulita) Local..
Meet Ashley Evert // Travel addict, endlessly curious human that loves anything and everything that is a new experience.
Hola, amigos(!!) I would like to give a very warm welcome to the chiquita bonita Ashley Evert (Age 25), and our first "Like a Local" interview. I was fortunate enough to travel with this lady babe ( ++ our closest friends and sibs) to explore the beautiful Sayulita, Mexico.
In a nutshell, this trip was a magical adventure, with memories that will last a lifetime. With that being said...
Meet: Ashley Evert // Age 25
Her Story: Travel addicted, endlessly curious human that loves anything and everything that is a new experience. Also. Ashley is an Author, curator, and one of the founders of The Coordinates Collective, a rad new "modern journal" featuring adventure collectors and their journeys.
Marching to the beat of: Say It by Flume (ft. Tove Lo)
Ashley's ultimate day in Sayulita includes:
Wake up, rent a golf cart, fill up a cooler with your drink of choice, pack some snacks, and disappear for a day to Carrecitos Beach. The water is clear, and has the perfect amount of waves to body surf and hang, there is no one else there, and the little palm trees everywhere are really, really cute. Stay for sunset, then come back into town to clean up and dance the night away wherever the music leads downtown.
Fav Coffee Spot:
ChocoBanana - mostly because of the 20 peso coconut covered frozen banana, a little because of the coffee.
Fav Breakfast Spot:
Loved El Break Cafe. Tried breakfast here on the last day and ordered coffees, the banana pancakes, a bagel sando, and breakfast burrito.
What to Do:
Paddle board, surf, rent golf carts and give yourself a city tour, do a Mezcal tasting at Sayulita Wine Shop, shop around in tons of cute little boutiques, drink margaritas, eat tacos. Repeat.
Where to Shop:
Evoke the Spirit
Fav Happy Hour Spot: On the beach with a cooler of Pacificos
Fav Taco Spot:
The Real Fish Taco... but skip the shrimp tacos, and go straight for the Mahi Mahi.
Fav Late Night Hang: Above the restaurant, Monchies you'll find a great spot where we danced the night away upstairs. Enjoy!
Freestyle Sayulita Share:
(Sayulita), A little surf village that is experiencing some growing pains as it becomes more and more popular. Worth the visit sooner rather than later to get to experience some of the original charm.
P.S. check out The Coordinates Collective for more travel inspo from this lady babe.
Muchas gracias Ash for your shares (!!) We look forward to future travels with you + The Coordinates Collective crew.
Besitos y "gracias, bye"
xoxo
Alluvthethings.
