Hotel Saint Cecilia. Beautiful boutique hotel located at 112 Academy Drive. Stay here for the location to S. Congress, and the absolute beauty of this property. Expect to spend some time lounging by the heated lap pool (open 24 hours) and to grab a light brunch under the arbor. NOTE: You may want to book pretty far in advance to stay here, as the hotel only has five suites, six poolside bungalows, and three studios.

Alternate option & took note for next time. Stay at the Hotel San Jose (sister hotel to Hotel Saint Cecilia).

Also. AirBnb is another great option.

Jo's Coffee

Jo's Coffee. Coffee + Small Bites. Multiple locations, my recommendation is 1300 S Congress Avenue. Order a coffee + their small breakfast tacos. Expect to take a picture by the iconic "i love you so much" wall. NOTE: This is a great spot to start your day, and then begin exploring on S Congress Ave.. just start walking!

Snack Bar

Snack Bar. Brunch + hair of the dog.. Located at 1224 S. Congress. Order the Snack Bar Migas, Bloody Mary + sit on the patio.

Hillside Pharmacy American New Restaurant. Located at 1209 E 11th Street. Go for brunch.

Austin City Lemons

Austin City Lemons. Fresh squeezed lemonade. Located at 1412 S. Congress Ave.

Amy's Ice Cream. "Handcrafted artisan super premium ice creams, dairy-free fruit ices and frozen yogurt!". Multiple locations. Expect them to constantly introduce new flavors and 350+ flavs on rotation.

Lick Honest Ice Creams. "use only pure, wholesome ingredients in our artisanal ice creams". 2 Locations. Thrillist named Lick Honest Ice Creams as one of the best ice cream shops in America.

Big Top Candy Shop

Big Top Candy Shop. Located at 1706 S. Congress. Go for alluv the different options of sweets. Expect bulk candies, wrapped sweets, chocolates, salt water taffy, an old-fashioned soda fountain, and alluv the things etc.

HAPPY HOUR + DINNER

Rudy's "Country Store" and Barbecue

Rudy's "Country Store" and Barbecue. Real TX BBQ. A few locations to chose from (Recommended 2451 S Capital of Texas Hwy).

Easy Tiger. German restaurant, Beer garden, Bakery. Located at 709 E 6th Street. Order a tall boy, a pretzel, and one of the Easy Boards. Go for the cool vibes and great food. NOTE: Enter through the bakery on 6th Street and make your way downstairs to the beer-hall style seating area.

Clark's Oyster Bar

Clark's Oyster Bar. Chic seafood + oyster bar. Located at 1200 W 6th Street. Go for the oysters and bubbly. Sit outside on the patio. NOTE: Clark's is Perla's little brother restaurant.

Perla's Seafood & Oyster Bar. Located at 1400 S. Congress Avenue. Go for the seafood and oysters. Order the oysters, ceviche, octopus, and/or melon + burrata salad. Expect a large outdoor seating area + white lights.

LATE NIGHT HANGS

Whistler's. Cocktail Bar. Located at 1816 East 6th Street, Austin TX. Go for awesome beverages + super cool vibes. Expect to explore the bar inside, outdoor area, and the special mezcaleria (upstairs). Don't miss it!

HandleBar Rooftop

HandleBar. Bar. Located at 121 E 5th Street. Go for the rooftop hangs + adult beverages. Expect hipster vibes. NOTE: This was one of my favorite bar hangs.

Swift's Attic. American (New). Located at 315 Congress Ave. Go for cocktails .

Elephant Room. Jazz & Blues Bar. Located at 315 Congress Ave (below Swift's Attic mentioned above). Go for live music.

South Congress is a must do, simply to explore. Start at Jo's Coffee, and just start walking! You could stay busy all day with shopping, candy shops, ice cream, restaurants, the cutest lemonade stand, and so much more.

Sixth Street is a must do to explore the live music, restaurant, rooftop and bar scene.
