The Chicago Athletic Association Hotel located at 12 S Michigan Ave. Stay here if you're all about the vibes and have a special place in your heart for finding the ultimate rooftop when you travel. This place is magical.
Ace Hotel located at 311 N Morgan St. Stay here if you are looking to stay in the West Loop close and in walking distance to a number of great restaurants. Expect Stumptown coffee downstairs, a nice restaurant/bar in the lobby, outdoor fire pits, and another bar on the 7th floor with great views of the cityscape.
Longman & Eagle Located at 2657 N. Kedzie Ave. Stay if you're on a budget but looking to have a super fun time. L&E has 6 rooms avail and a super fun restaurant/bar attached. NOTE that the bar stays open late night so you may not want to stay here if you are looking for a quite setting.

Asado Coffee Companies. The cutest little gem of a coffee shop, tucked away in a back alley. Go the the Pickwick Lane location at 22 E Jackson (b/t Wabash Ave & State St). Great coffee, cutest find. NOTE: They have multiple locations.
The Winchester. Located at 1001 N Winchester Ave. Go for the Avo Toast!! Expect patio hangs and a minimalistic vibe.
Doughnut Vault. Multiple locations, I recommend checking out location 401 N Franklin St. Go bc doughnuts. Nuff said.
The Allis at Soho House Chicago. Breakfast & Brunch. Located at 113-125 N Greet St. Go for the ultimate sunday kinda vibes and lite brunch. Order the avo toast (guys I may have a serious problem when it comes to constantly searching for this..), fresh fruit, pastries, and more. Expect outdoor patio hangs, indoor seat-yourself-open vibes, and an upstairs seating/restaurant area.
Eataly - Chicago. Specialty Food, Grocery, Restaurant(s), etc. Located at 43 E Oh. Street. Go for alluv the amazing options this place provides. Literally, alluvthethings one could image. Expect to be mind blown and have the option to shop, dine, bev, alluvthethings, etc. NOTE: Not sure if this should be filed under lunch, happy hour, dinner, or alluvem..

Patio Hangs
Parson's Chicken & Fish. American (New), Locally sourced + quality ingredients. Located at 2952 W Armitage Ave. Go for outdoor patio hangs (fire pit, picnic tables, ping pong, etc.), good drinks + eats.
Bernie's. Located at 660 N Orleans Street.
Dinner + Drinks
Cindy's Rooftop: Located at The Chicago Athletic Association Hotel (12 S Michigan Ave). Go for the rooftop + open-air terrace + outdoor fire pits and incredible skyline views of the City (Mellennium Park, Art Institute, Lake Michigan, etc.).
The Hampton Social. Located at 353 W Hubbard St.. Go for the cool vibes "Rose All Day". White Lights. Oysters. Pizza. Outdoor seating area. NOTE: There is typically live music around the HH time frame.
Au Cheval. Located at 800 W Randolph S, Chicago. Go for their burger and ambiance. Claimed to have one of the best burgers in the country by many. Expect leather booth style seating, rad reel-to-reel music, and hip vibes. NOTE: They serve chilaquiles after midnight.. I mean... come on!l
Blue Door Kitchen & Garden Located at 52 W Elm Street. Go here for brunch, lunch and/or dinner if you're all about farm-to-table restaurants. Expect a seasonal menu. NOTE: Their patio is open during the summer months and it's the cutest.
Bohemiam House (Boho House). Located at 11 W Illinois St. Go for the good eats, boho vibes and HUGE windows which make for a cool indoor/outdoor seating situation. NOTE: I recommend stopping in for brunch here too.
Dough Bros Pizza. Located at 400 N State Street. Not much of a spot to hang/chill but their pizza is top notch. I recommend stopping in for a slice.
Girl and the Goat: Located in the West Loop at 809 W Randolph St. American (New). Go here if you enjoy ordering family style. Order the goat empanadas and the roasted cauliflower. NOTE: Expect a wait if you want a table, although you can always sit at the bar (first come, first serve).
Green Street Smoked Meats. Barbecue. Located at 112 Green Street (right across from The Allis mentioned above). Go for the food, stay for the vibes. Get the pulled pork sammy + a tall boy (PBR) out of the iced drink trough. Expect to get a little messy, and may I just add go family style on alluv the side dishes, bc, they are alluvthethings YES(!!).
Las Fuentes. Mexican. They have a few locations, however, I recommend location 2558 N. Halsted, Lincoln Park. Go for good mexican food and margs, but mostly go for their outdoor patio and ambiance if you have a thing for white lights and open air hangs.
Roister: Located at 951 W Fulton Market. American (New). Go here if you enjoy sitting right next to the action and seeing the food prepared first hand at the chef's table. Be prepared to make a reservation ahead of time.

NIGHT LIFE
The Office. Classic cocktails. Located below the Aviary (955 W Fulton Market). Go for speakeasy vibes and great cocktails. NOTE: Be sure to call in advance to put your name on the list, there is seating for no more than 30 ppl so the turnover here is quite slow.
OSB at Longman & Eagle located behind L&E w/ a small patio space functioning as a stand alone 'micro bar'.
The Redhead Piano Bar. Located at 16 W. Ontario Street (bt State & Dearborn). Go for the live piano music and expect to have a real good time.
Kingston Mines. Blues & Jazz Club + Live Music. Located at 2548 N Halsted St. Listed as one of the top Blues/Jazz clubs in Chicago. Expect two stages on each side of the space, and to dance the night away.
Green Mill. Jazz Club + Live Music. Located at 4802 N Broadway St. Expect legendary performances and booth/lounge seating. NOTE: Green Mill is one of the oldest jazz clubs in the country, and an old time hang of Al Capone.

Chicago Riverwalk
Millenium Park. "The Bean" is the major tourist draw here, but don't miss out on walking through the beautiful gardens, or see a live performance in the Pritzker Pavilion.
The Willis Tower, Sky Deck Observatory. Located at 233 Wacker Drive Willis Tower 103. Go for the amazing views of the city, and expect to rise above alluv Chicago to the 103rd floor. NOTE: Major must-do. I don't know how to avoid the crowds, but the views are worth the wait.
Wrigley Field. Grab a beer, Chicago Style Hot Dog, and watch a Cubs game at Chicago's historic Wrigley Field.
